COMPUDIST commenced its business distribution in Senegal in 2002 for Lexmark Printers and consumables and INFOSEC UPS SYSTEM with Only 5 employees, then after Six months of operation, FUJITSU-SIEMENS was added to increase the brands and products Portfolio.
In 2003 we decided to become a Regional player distributing global IT brands and we commenced the business in Mali adding to the group a new entity “COMPUDIST Mali SA”. And other Major IT brands believing in our business model trusted us such as Acer, Canon and LG.
By 2004 the expansion continues and “COMPUDIST Ghana Ltd” was born, our channel expansion in the English speaking Africa confirmed us as one of the major IT players in West Africa.
By 2006, COMPUDIST added VERBATIM and GENIUS to its brands Portfolio covering a wider range in the IT business and by 2008, COMPUDIST added OPTI-SOLAR to become authorized wholesaler for several brands, ACER, APPLE, CANON, FUJITSU-SIEMENS, GENIUS, INFOSEC UPS SYSTEM, LENOVO, LEXMARK, LG, VERBATIM, and other accessories brands. In 2015, we became authorised resellers for other 2 known brands; HP and DELL.
Today COMPUDIST GROUP has emerged as one of the top Distributors in West Africa addressing IT, with Three fully operational entities in terms of Sales and Marketing teams, Technical support teams and warehousing and logistics, powered by over 50 employees, having distribution rights for more than 10 Brands, performing through 3 sales offices and 3 Authorized Support Centers and serving 600+ active resellers
In 2012, a sister company took place in Senegal called Medisys “MEDICAL SYSTEMS SARL”, supplying Medical equipment to Hospitals with a main brand PHILLIPS
In 2015, a new sister company was opened in RDC Congo called “Société Générale D’équipements S.a.r.l – SOGEQ S.a.r.l”, opening new doors to East Africa, we have started projects over 100M US Dollars related to SOLAR Power Solution as well as Managed printing solution for Ministry of Education
Our business model is to sell/service the products through our channel; we work through a wide network of more than 600 active resellers in the countries that we cover.
Major Accounts and big corporate customers are handled directly by us especially when it comes to warranty, maintenance, and support as well as after sales service.
COMPUDIST has optimized efficiencies of Supply chain by ensuring better availability of stocks, resulting in smooth and fast turnover in terms of delivery.
COMPUDIST is very active in promotions, bundles and marketing activities. Incentive plans are put to encourage the resellers and their sales teams to promote more and more the COMPUDIST portfolio of products.
On regular basis, challenges and incentive plans are developed by our marketing team allowing our loyal partners to win vacation trips, week-end packages, and so many other gifts.
COMPUDIST GROUP is as well Service Provider for the above brands; therefore, we give a warranty period starting from a standard 1 YEAR till 5 YEARS upon request. We are having trained engineers and technicians at workshop and On-Site to make sure we provide the best support. The SLA will never exceed the 72 hours if this is the case we have standby machines for temporary replacement helping the customer continue his business while we repair his. A technical / sales / marketing trainings are taking place every year for staff and management in different countries such Germany, France, Morocco, Tunisia, Senegal and Ghana, allowing us to stay up-to-date with new Technologies, new Solutions, and new Horizons.
